if only,if only, the moon speaks no reply;
reflecting the sun and all that's gone by.
be strong my weary wolf, turn around boldly.
fly high, my baby bird,
my angel, my only.

WHOA. HOLES. A TOTAL MUST READ.

Sunday, November 16, 2008

WHOA. a total bargain.

fathom this. John Grisham at rm 19.90. then Lee Child LARGE PRINT at rm 18.00. throw in a JOHN Cash at rm 18.00. unbelievable?there's more. Faye Kellerman at rm 12.00!!!still unbelievable? believe it.

for rm 105, i managed to acquire John Case, Lee Child, Faye Kellerman, John Grisham, Robert Goddart, Robert Harris and Tess Gerritson , 3 of the books in large print. if we assume that the ambium price of an international bestseller to be rm 33.00 each, then the 7 books i brought would amount to....rm 231! and yet i got it for only rm105 at the big bookstore. that would amoun to a 55% discount!

The firm. Stone Kiss. Dance of Death. The Hard Way. Vanish. Never Go Back. Imperium. for rm105. Believe it.

A Poem Of Her

i went searching

for her, up the meadows

and down the gallows.

nothing can be found

but a whisper

of her voice,in a distant future memory.

oh how i crave! to find her

at last,

see the face thus far eluded me

and hear the voice i longed to hear,

fill the gaps in the shores

of my heart.

she's a naughty knave,

she is

diamonds in the earth

beautiful , inviting,

yet so cold

when touched.

she is my shadow

by dusk,

so near, yet impossible to be grasped ,

and then is no more ,

too late , its gone, it won't come back.

SPM English Literature

the spm english literature really made me sweat. not because the exam is tough(i would'nt know anyway, since i won't take it till form 5), but because sourcing the materials is no easy feat. a rough calculation showed that i travelled about 30 kilometres as i regulated between 3 bookstores and a library to find the reading materials. and guess what? i'm not finidhed looking. the toughest to find is probably The Lion and The Jewel by Wole Soyinka.not that i havn't found it, but it is sold in england! i feel like a single knight seeking his lofty quest.

but actually, english literature in SPM is not that bad. and although it do not seem to have pass year questions available, the stories to be read is interesting. there's holes, by louis Sachar, William Shakespeare's julius ceaser, and a couple of poems.

readers, i serious encourage you to take the subject. by the way i shall post the full list of materials for english literature in SPM. Getting the list of materials is 1 thing, actually sourcing for it is quite another. to those who is finding it, may the force be on your side.
